B&Q and California Co Get Set for DIY Shutters Online Launch

The countdown has commenced! Get ready for the biggest change to impact the plantation shutters market in the UK as B&Q launch diy.com/shutters. DIY fans will soon be able to purchase quality wood plantation shutters via B&Q's own website, starting in January 2009.

Working in partnership with The California Company, B&Q has been selling wood shutters in select stores from 2007. The partnership will now be extended on a much larger scale with B&Q customers throughout the UK now able to purchase shutters via DIY.COM, B&Q's rapidly expanding online shopping facility.

The California Company is the UK's leading online shutter company and was chosen by B&Q to be their shutter partner in 2007. The launch of plantation shutters in store was successful but to fully realise the potential of the relationship, both B&Q and California Co decided that opening a dedicated online DIY Shutter Shop would be a natural step to roll the product out across the UK.
