House to Home Shutters and Blinds Winner Announced

The California Company and House to Home are delighted to announce that Ellen from Clacton on Sea, Essex was the winner of October's House to Home competiton.

The competition gave House to Home readers the chance to win £1000 worth of solid wood plantation shutters or wood blinds, of their choice for answering a question about the shutters sold on The California Company's website. In all, in excess of 5000 entries were received, keen to get their chance to win free shutters and blinds.

Entrants successfully answering the question about shutters, were entered into a draw, with Ellen being chosen at random as the winner by House to Home officials. The California Company contacted Ellen who told us.

"I have recently moved house and was looking for blinds, and a friend mentioned the competition on your website so i entered.
I do enter competitions regularly and friends tell me about ones they have seen if I mention that i am looking for something in particular. If there is a chance i can win what i want then i go for it. As I was looking for blinds in particular i made sure to enter this one!

I was over the moon when I heard I had won the competition. Originally I was looking for blinds for 2 sets of patio doors which aren't the easiest or cheapest coverings to buy on a budget but the competition has allowed me to go for the shutters which I think look more sophisticated and elegant! (to be honest without the win I wouldn't have been able to afford them so I am chuffed to bits!!)

I was contacted by The California Company who directed me to order my shutters from the website. The website is extremley user friendly and very easy to understand. I like the quote section where you can enter the amount of panels, size of slats and choose the colour and it brings up a likeness to show you how they would look.

Also, I would like to add that the customer service has been absolutely first class. Chrissie has been great sending examples and giving me advice. I will happily recommend you guys to friends and family."
