How To Measure For EXACT Size Wood Blinds

Before you start you will need:
- First decide if you will you fit your blind inside a RECESS or if you want an EXACT size blind?
- Do you need your blinds to fit in a bay window?
- Ensure you read the appropriate measure guide for how you will fit your blinds
- Use a steel tape measure
Measuring for exact size window blinds
- Use a steel tape measure as they are much more reliable than cloth or plastic tapes.
- Simply measure the EXACT AREA you would like the blind to cover as shown in the diagram below
- From left to right, measure the exact width of the area you want the blind to cover. We recommend you add on at least 6mm either side to ensure you have the area covered correctly with your blinds.
- From top to bottom, measure the exact height of the area the blind is to cover. The height of the control box which houses the mechanism for the blind is approx 60mm high. You must include this measurement in the overall height you order the blind to.
- Measure all windows you require blinds for even if they appear to be the same size.will set the shutter panels at a sufficient distance from the handles. This allows the slats to rotate fully without the risk of them hitting the window handles.
Step 2:
The width and height dimensions specified by you will be the EXACT SIZE of the blind we supply. We will make NO DEDUCTIONS from your sizes. Blinds are supplied with a front pelmet as standard. If you wish to cover the side ends of the Blind box then select YES to “ Do you require Pelmet returns? “ We will then supply you with mitered pelmet returns / end caps, providing a continuous pelmet to enclose the blind box.
The illustrations show how you can mount your EXACT Size blind.
