Black Out Blinds for Lighter Evenings
Black Out blinds are an additional roller blind which is either fitted within the wooden shutter frame or behind the frame towards the window.
The example shown is a Black Out blind fitted within the frame.
Wooden shutters, as with any natural window covering, will let light in on a lighter evening when they are closed, they certainly darken a room, but will not acheive complete blackout. Where the wooden shutter slats overlap each other light will bleed through the spaces and where the Wooden Shutter slats are attached to the Shutter panels, sunlight can appear through these gaps too, its merely the nature of the product.
By purchasing and installing an additional Black Out Roller blind within, or behind the wooden shutter frame, you can acheive greater light reduction when the blind is rolled down. The Black Out blind can come in a variety of colours, the one shown in the image is our Nocturne White. From the outside of the property, you cannot usually see the rollerblind when it is rolled up, but can at night when the black out blind is rolled down.
