Box Bay Wood Shutters
Many California Shutter customers choose white shutters or a shade of white. While white wooden shutters represent the largest percentage of our sales, wooden stained shutters look stunning in the right setting.
These shutters in a house in Dorset were installed on a window with uPVC replacement windows. From the photos our customer emailed to us, the windows were not in the best condition and the customers was keen to buy plantation shutters as a cheaper alternative to buying brand new replacement windows.
These shutters were designed to have the solid sections of the shutters mirror the solid section of the window. Therefore you can see the mid rail on the shutters matches a part of the horitontal window framing and the panels are the same size as the actual window panes.
These shutters are manufactured from yellow poplar hardwood and are stained in sugar maple. They have 64mm slats with concealed push rods and chrome hinges.
