Ivory Cafe Shutters
Cafe style wooden plantation shutters need not only go to the halfway point on the window. Cafe style shutters are sometimes known as half height shutters but this is a little bit of a misnomer.
Cafe style shutters simply refer to plantation shutters that do not cover the entire window. Not to be confused with tier on tier shutters (which cover the entire height of the window but have panels opening independantly on the top and bottom) cafe style shutters cover just the lower half of the window.
In this shutter photo this 20's / 30's style property in London has shutters that cover around 2/3 of the lower half of the window. The shutters naturally stop inline with the natural framing of the window. There are 6 panels, 3 hinged left, 3 hinged right. They are installed in a 3 sided frame (one piece along the sill and 2 sections up the side). These are finished in ivory with 64mm (2 1/2" shutter slats) with open sky concealed rods.
