London Bay Shutters

It is not only Victorian bay windows that are suited to plantation shutters. This photo shows a 30's style property in London with wooden plantation shutters.

This installation sees the bay window treated as 3 separate units. That is, the left side section, right side section and main centre section.

With a bay window shutters in the centre cannot generally be hinged to fold completely off the window. In this photo the centre panels are hinged 1 left and 2 right and will open to sit over the 2 side section.

However, most customers who have shutters installed find that when the shutters are installed, they tend to leave the shutters panels in place and tilt the slats.

Therefore this design sees the upright vertical sections of the plantation shutters inline with the vertical upright section of the window. Therefore with this design you have a clear view the slats of the shutters.

These shutters are finished in shell with 64mm slats and open sky concealed shutter push rods.
