Plantation shutters for sash windows are great for DIY enthusiasts to try their hand at. The plantation shutters fitted on this sash bay window in Swansea were fitted by a customer who had tried without success to get someone to go to him from Swansea, Cardiff, Newport or any of the towns around him! These plantation shutters are manufactured from poplar hardwood in shell with 64mm slats and regular pushrods. They are tier on tier shutters which enable the top panels to be moved away from the window to take advantage of the light with the bottom panels staying closed at the window so that people can't stare into the room.
