Shropshire Shutters in Walnut Shutter Perfection

Sophia from Shropshire first saw American Shutters in the USA itself when there on holiday and felt they were shutter perfection in themselves! As such, when Sophia returned to the UK and was looking for window treatments for her home, she knew it just had to be plantation shutters to do the job!

Sophia was revamping her lounge and study window and used a lot of natural oak and other hardwoods in the construction and decor of her Shropshire home. "I did my shutters research thoroughly looking at different shutter shops online and finding adverts in magazines. I was looking for a DIY shutters option and didn't need anyone to fit them as I thought that installing the shutters wouldn't be that hard. Fortunately, I found this to be the case and measuring the shutters and installing the shutters was really straightforward.

When I'd seen the American Shutters when in the states, I had seen the different slat sizes you can choose. The colour for the shutters was chosen as we are lucky enough to live in a barn conversion and I wanted to tie the shutters in with the colour of the beams. We looked at different websites and found yours the most useful as it had the shutter designer feature which allowed you to see how your shutters would look with different numbers of panels on the window.

My advice to anyone is to print off the shutters measuring guide as this was really helpful. I measured the windows, then my husband did and we had different dimensions. However when we read the plantation shutters measuring guide it made things much clearer and we had the correct sizes!
