What are temporary blinds?
Temporary blinds do exactly what their name suggests! They provide an exceptionally cost effective temporary window covering.
How do these temporary blinds work?
The blinds are available in 2 stock sizes. You can cut the temporary blind to size if required using a pair of scissors and stick it onto your window or glazing. The blinds can then be raised and lowered in a concertina / accordion fashion to give you privacy and darkness at night, but full light in the daytime.
The standard size tempory blind can be cut down to a minium of 600mm width. The large size stick on blind can be cut down to a minium width of 760mm.
Are temporary blinds difficult to install?
No – temporary blinds could not be easier to install. Simply remove the strip on the back of the temporary blind to reveal a self adhesive strip, and stick this lightly onto your UPVc or Aluminium section of your window, or better still, directly onto your glass.
So I don’t need to drill any holes to install my temporary window shade?
No – not one single hole. No mess, no fuss, no hassle. Temporary blinds could not be easier!
What if my windows are larger than the 2 sizes of temporary blinds that you offer?
Many customers will buy 2 or 3 blinds to cover their window. You can add the blinds however you like – 2 or 3 across the width of the window, or 2 blinds, one above the other. If in any doubt, please contact us and we will tell you exactly how many you need!
What is the difference between the privacy and the room darkening option?
The privacy blind is pure white in colour and made from a thin vinyl. It will give you complete privacy but will not darken the room.
The room darkening blind is light grey in colour and made from a thicker vinyl. This offers better room darkening.
Do the temporary blinds cut out light?
Temporary blinds are not 100% blackout. However they will as with any window covering help darken the room slightly.
Our stick on blinds are intended as privacy blinds, however at your specification we can provide you with an alternative darkening temporary blind.
How are temporary blinds delivered from The California Shutter &Blind Co?
We work with trusted delivery experts to deliver all our products, including our temporary blinds. Most blinds are delivered using TNT.
How long does it take to receive delivery of my temporary blinds from placing the order?
We carry our Quickfix blinds in stock so you will receive them within 2 working days of placing your order! So you'll get your temporary blinds as quickly as possible.
Is there a delivery charge for my temporary blinds?
Delivery is free of charge on all temporary blinds orders over £50. However a small delivery charge does apply to orders under this value.
