“Although I am young (ish-38), I am not that great at buying things over the web – well except books and CDs. However on buying a new place, as well as starting a new company at the same time (not recommended), I found myself with very little time and large amounts of redecoration.
With clear ideas about what I wanted I set about researching on the web – when it came to my shutters I came across The California Company and other than liking the name (for some reason?!) what I found most useful was the ease of use of the website and excellent measuring guides.
Next came the fact that when I requested samples they arrived pretty much next day – something I cannot say for the competition. Which made my purchasing decision easy. I also have to say that they offered a massive saving compared to a local retailer, who will remain nameless.
Further to that and far more importantly, I was ecstatic (strong, but good word) when I received the product, which look amazing – I purchased blinds and half plantations – all match, were simple to install and they even put up with a few of my rather more facile questions when posed both by e-mail and phone. 10 out of 10 for everything!"
